Joining Grass Roots Realty in 1980, Mark has continually expanded his knowledge of the real estate industry. Committed to an on-going education and improvement of his skills, he completed rigorous coursework to become a member of the GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute), a designation earned by less than 1% of all Realtors nationwide.  He also completed training to earn the title of Coldwell Banker PREVIEWS exceptional properties specialist, and he is the Nevada County airpark residential property specialist.

Mark started out in 2003 as one of the first Realtors in Nevada County to have an internet site from which his clients can view the majority of properties on the Nevada County Multiple Listing Service.  He is also able to offer buyers and sellers the opportunity to receive instant e-mail notification of properties that meet their criteria as soon as they go on the market.

Mark attributes his success to hard work, a strong commitment to his  clients, tenacity, follow-through, an excellent knowledge of Nevada County property, the ability to negotiate a winning agreement for everyone, a huge referral network from past clients and brokers from out of the area, his personal network of qualified professionals he can depend upon when necessary, his focus on prospecting and listing properties, and a great assistant, Amelia Barrett, whose creativity and  ingenuity supports him and his clients.
